I spent many years designing newspapers, books and magazines that were read the old fashioned way - on paper. Now they seem like artifacts. I do all my reading on a screen. I’ve made this tiny book pendant, strung on a chain - artifact as jewelry. 

This piece is 1.5 x 1 inches with a 32 inch oxidized sterling silver rolo chain. The book/pendant itself has two sterling silver ‘covers’ attached with 12 gauge sterling silver wire rings. Each page is: hand painted, or printed, or hand drawn polypropylene or 23k gold leaf. Sterling silver 'S' clasp.
